Plan for Newsletter
Thank you for reading! I’m looking forward to using a more formal medium than twitter to display the information about stocks I already share for the most part on my public google sheets (twitter handle is @jiggytrades, link to sheet at bottom), but in a less 140 character way.
This will be a bi-weekly newsletter where it will run based off a Quarterly calendar on the following topics:
Stock Screens
150+ stocks across 30+ sectors with financial data that I track for detailed screens. Data comes from first Yahoo Finance average estimates (preferably 5+ analysts, I’m also a big median over average guy but sadly I’m just a retail investor), if not enough data there I check Seeking Alpha, then use company guidance, and finally any data that is reputable.
Example of a Real Estate stock screen:
This will be an Enterprise Value newsletter, but with a bigger emphasis even more so on being a GROSS PROFIT newsletter! I will still show EV/Sales but will judge and sort by EV/GP, mostly 2022e GP.
I’ll also be doing growth based, value based, relative strength screens from 50 & 200 day moving averages and some others. I’m always open to stock recommendations to add to my sheet, DM’s open !
Daily vs Average Volume Comparison
This is already something I post daily on twitter highlighting big discrepancies between the 30-day average volume of a stock versus the traded volume that day. In the sense of this newsletter, I’m going to summarize a quarters worth of this daily data to present and make observations.
This dataset is 300+ stocks across 30+ sectors that are more top level tracked without all the financial data as above.
I’ll highlight any company that stands out in volume data briefly in these newsletters in a top level fashion
An example of this information I post daily on twitter highlighting the top 5 for both the high and low side of the spectrum in volume.
I also highlight interesting daily volume percentages in a separate callout that I’ll be tracking where there is still a worthwhile data point to track into this total dataset
Company Highlights
I’ll be combining all of the fundamental and technical analysis into a quarterly newsletter highlighting top picks in more of a surface level. I value all forms of judgement into one final decision and again, not financial advice!
Company Deep Dive
One all encompassing deep dive into a company of my choice each quarter using the same framework in the Company Highlights but in a deep dive fashion!
Personal Finance
A mix of news/information on personal finance topics such as saving, credit cards and others.
This all may change as I start and that’s completely fine, but this is the general framework I’ve plotted out over the last couple months as I’ve always wanted to do something like this 😊. With there being five topics for six newsletters per quarter, one will be extended out to a months’ time!
It goes without saying but I’m by no means an expert in the financial world and don’t try to come off that way at all. It’s an insane and everchanging world and I respect that beast. This is purely for thought generation and not financial advise.
In general, I’m not a big fan of writing so I plan on making this as short form & stats based as possible. I’ll start the second week of July hopefully where these will come out on Sundays.
Introduction
I wanted to get the more important stuff around the newsletter highlighted first before going into the background of myself and so you can choose to stop here - I think at least attempting to do some background helps with making myself more genuine in my writing, and transparency of bias is nice of course!
My names Sean, I grew up playing sports, not being serious about stocks & finance (no exposure at all) but overall, just a passionate 23 year old who found a love for stocks since opening my first account January 2020 to buy PENN when the Barstool deal was announced. Before then I used to use most of this stat and research fueled energy for sports where I still know way too much haha, but luckily this is now a much more productive use of time.

I graduated Spring of 2020 with a degree in Industrial & Entrepreneurial Engineering and a minor in Business. It's really a shame it took me this long to find stocks given my background. I missed out on trading with no life obligations for 90% of college which sucks but oh well, still have a long way to go in life.
I wouldn't consider myself a trader even given my alias name. I’m still really young and just starting to make good money in my full time sales job (I have my FE so kinda funny I still ended up in sales) so in the core I’m a long term investor but deploy all strategies in different accounts. Stocks have kinda just gone up historically so in short I value time in market!
My factors and general stances that weigh on my judgement include:
No dependents, no debt
Sizable risk tolerance
No rush to get rich quick
I accept that my portfolio will see great swings
I like to trade/invest in things I can at least somewhat relate to
Favorite sectors: Fintech, eCommerce, Real Estate and general Tech
My perfect life is to retire by 30-35, work part time at a golf course in up north Michigan if I get too bored, travel, and of course trade. I started off my journey last January with around $200 and a bunch of bad credit card debt where I now work full time almost at PDT. Couldn’t be more excited for the future!
I work towards learning more every day and keeping an open mind to new tickers, bull cases, bear cases, new sectors, micro & macro external factors on the market.
My number one goal with this newsletter is to do it for 20 years! I’m doing this more for me and my investing journey than anything. I genuinely appreciate anyone who wants to read what I have to share! My DMs are always open to talk or suggestions
